The awesome trek in eastern Himalaya of Nepal is popularly known as Lungba Samba Trek. This newly discovered trekking route is a naturally rewarding area from where the trial heads to spectacular Himalayan landscapes, Alpine zones and continued to the eastern wilderness, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Kanchanjanga and Makalu. Lungba Samba (5200m) peak is the major attraction of this route. This trekking route is home to different ethnic groups like the Limbus, Sherpas, Rai, Gurung, Magars, Newar and Tamangs. This trek is famous for endangered snow leopard and red panda as well as different birds and wildlife species. Through this route, we explore the Kanchanjanga Conservation area and the Makalu Barun National park. There are a number of high mountain lakes in Olnagchung Gola. The route encompasses alpine grass lands, rocky outcrops, dense temperate and sub-tropical forest, and low river valleys. Beside this, the trekker can also explore cultural heritage like monasteries, chortens (Stupa), temples and prayer walls.
